Judy (Rivera) Harrigan
Judy has been practicing Yoga since 2005 with various teachers from different traditions through out New York City and Vermont. She strongly believes in the nourishing power of this ancient discipline on every level: physical, psychological and spiritual. She strives to make yoga accessible to students of any age, background or physical ability while creating an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and safe.
Yoga has been very instrumental in guiding her through life’s difficulties and has brought her good health and understanding of her true Self. She believes that the work we do on our mats helps us with our inward journey and opening ourselves to the entire mysterious processes of the Universe.
She offers classes in many different styles from a restorative gentle session to a vigorous vinyasa while weaving in meditation, mindful breathing and inspirational quotes/readings to deepen your practice. She also offers workshops and individual and group private sessions. Her Restorative Yoga classes have been very well received by the community and are offered on a monthly basis.
Judy founded Up The Hill Yoga in West Townshend, VT in March 2016.
She also loves sharing her Puerto Rican heritage with her community through Latin music and dance, volunteers on community projects and loves hiking in the forest. Judy was born in Manhattan and raised in the South Bronx.
